You’re going to hear a lot about “fit” on these boards, and as a parent, I think appropriately so. If you search these boards, you’ll find parents who allowed their kids to attend different schools because their kids are wired differently and you’ll find parents who learned later that their child’s personality was not a good match for a school that seemed, based on stats, like it would be a good match. Different kids feel differently about class size, proximity to a town or city, etc. and some schools offer certain opportunities, or focus in certain areas, while others do not. I would suggest to you that this a time for self-reflection. Figure out what matters to you from a personal perspective, as best you can, and then try to figure out which schools seem like they might offer what you’re seeking. You can find a quality education at a good number of schools, but you should be thinking about what environment is most conducive to your personal growth and why. I think it’s fair to say that this is not a one-size-fits-all situation.
