Bon Appetit comes to Penn

If you’re going to be eating 2 meals a day, I suggest the liberty plan.

Keep in mind that you are not allowed to sponsor more than 10 meals per semester to people other than yourself. I wasted 50ish meals eating two meals a day and eating breakfast at my dorm…and I had the liberty plan.

Every school has that policy, but I think that pertains more to inviting guests into the dining hall.
When you take food out, you’re not going to say: “I’m taking this out because I have a ridiculous amount of extra meals and my parents are visiting.” So, I get the feeling that it would be fine.

haha susie’s right. i hope you can do that. i don’t see why you couldn’t. i doubt my mom will be able to visit me, but i might as well take extra meals to her when i come home.

Besides the dining halls, I wonder if Bon Appetit will make any drastic (or at least observable) changes in dining areas such as Houston Market on campus.

Hey Guys, quick update on Bon Appetite. I am at a program this summer at Penn, and I experienced the transition from the old service to Bon Appetite. One day the food was just average, if not bad, and the next it was great! Commons food at 1920 Commons is worth it now. I would much rather eat at 1920 than at Houston now!

That’s quite the statement.

…and i hope its true!

I’m sure it’s true, but I’m worried about long lines in 1920 commons. Does anyone know if there are really long lines?

Also, does anyone know if they have gatorade?

Thanks!!
