How come?
btw cost isnt a factor
Will the $200k less for CWRU affect what your parents are willing to contribute for your expensive medical school costs if you get admitted to medical school?
It would not
First, the cost difference is huge, and the extra money, if invested, could be very useful down the line. But more than that, Case has so much access to opportunities for premed students, just by virtue of proximity.
That said, they are both excellent schools, and neither would be a mistake.
if cost is truly not a factor (even accounting for 4 years of expensive medical school), then go where the school fit is best - some distinctives about BC (which i know better) are: Jesuit Catholic roots, core curriculum (including philosophy/theology), no Greek life, D1 sports (football and hockey especially), suburban campus with ~30-40 min public transportation access to downtown Boston. make sure youâre down for all that if youâre going plunk down $100k/year for it. also, just so you are fully aware, most (90%?) students only get 3-year guaranteed on-campus housing. i honestly donât think either school is objectively âbetterâ than the other for premed so donât make your decision based on that.
EDIT: and the reason i know BC is b/c our DD is going to attend this Fall and we ARE down for all that for that hefty price tag (but sheâs not premed nor is she comparing to other schools like CWRU).
