Boston College class of 2024 (EDI, EDII, RD) applicants

i just got an email! Its out on Thursday

We got it too. Does everyone’s say that if you have accepted ED anywhere else, etc. to withdraw you application?

@collegemomjam Yes it does say about withdraw if accepted to ED

I got the email, it says it will be emailed during the evening of Thursday, March 19.

Curious what percentage of deferred students from ED rounds will be accepted. Does anyone have a prediction?

No email

For those that received the email, are you RD or deferred ED? We’re RD and concerned that we didn’t receive an email . . . perhaps the emails are to those that are getting in and they’re asking to free up your spot if you’re ED somewhere else. Congrats in advance if this suspicion is accurate!

My son is RD ( not deferred). He got it at 1:39 pm today in Mass.

@4kidstocollege I applied RD and got the email

Thanks. We’re OOS…California.

RD…but maybe it is in your spam. I’m sure they wouldn’t send only to those accepted. ps good luck!!

I am RD and received the email. sure it means nothing though, probably in your spam^

Sounds like a fluke that you didn’t get the email. I don’t think it means anything.

RD, got email at 1:43pm EST. Check your spam, I bet everyone got it.

Hi! I know this is so far in advance, but with RD results being released on Thursday, I was wondering if anyone could chance me for EDI next fall for Boston College. I totally don’t mean to draw attention from those in the class of 2020, I’m just very anxious for the fall of 2020.

Applying to MCAS undecided
Legacy, father donates yearly, part of 1863 and Neenah giving societies
Mother worked at BC for 5 years
GPA: 4.21w, 3.86uw (Very competitive high school. Nationally ranked for academics)
ACT: 33 (33.25), might take again for a 34
7 AP’s including next year (Biology, US History, Lang & Comp, Calc BC, Literature, Gov, Environmental Science)
150+ service hours
President of 2 school clubs, founder of one of them, both service-oriented
Member of 4 honors societies (Mu Alpha Theta, English, History, Science) and NHS
Varsity tennis for 3 years (Including my junior year)
Lots of rigor, all honors and AP classes
Financial aid is not a necessity, but I don’t know whether or not that helps my application
Hispanic, not sure if that helps either

I also have 12 college credits from Boston College. I spent two summers there through their BCE program.

Extracurricular activities are very strong. I have won numerous awards out of school for community service and academic competitions.

Thank you so much for your help! Best of luck to everyone receiving their application results on Thursday!

It’s early, but If you can maintain that course load you have a really good chance. Being Hispanic and a Legacy will likely help.

I never received email…checked spam…

I doubt that means anything, don’t lose hope!

It absolutely does not indicate anything. It’s not how it works.

I haven’t received anything new. RD OOS.
The last email was March 2nd for me
“Admission decisions will be posted on MyBU on March 21, 2020. You will receive an email when your decision is available.“
Which now seems outdated. This one was in my spam but I don’t see any new ones…
