Very strong EC (Founded piano tutoring business and volunteered in various bands raising thousands of dollars for humane societies, cancer patients, etc.). 2 varsity sports, 4 years each. Very strong essays and LOR from very close teachers. Applying as a Bio major.

what would you say my chances of admission are?

What’s your unweighted GPA? Do you have a sense for where you fall in terms of class rank (even if not official)? Have you taken the hardest, or close to hardest level of course rigor available at your high school? Does your school have a track record of sending students to BC?

Ok! Notice from BC that decisions will go out this week, which I guess we already kind of knew/hoped based on previous years. Would love for it to be earlier in the week! Good luck to all!

96 unweighted GPA. My school does not rank its classes, but I would guess I’m somewhere around 15th to 20th out of 200 kids. And yes, in the past few years, at least one person has been accepted from my school. I definitely don’t have the hardest level if course rigor, but I have taken most of the sciences (All APs, except for physics). I wasn’t able to take AP Calculus because it would have thrown off the rest of my schedule. I had to take AP Stats instead (Which my counselor suggested would help me more when aiming for the pre-med track).

My grades are definitely above average for my school, but I’m not sure if they could get me into BC alone. I believe that my strong ECs will be the reason I potentially get in.

Welcome to the forum! i think you have a decent shot but there is a lot of info that we still don’t know about you including your state of residence, legacy status, etc. But you will find out soon enough (likely this week) so don’t let the opinions of online strangers get your hopes up or down unnecessarily. you have given yourself the best shot by applying ED (~30% acceptance rate in ED round by recent statistics) - so best of luck! Also, in case you get deferred, don’t get discouraged. there are lots of students who get in later on after getting deferred (and even waitlisted).

No one can chance you with any accuracy, and it sounds like decisions are coming out in the next several days anyway. You seem like a competitive applicant with a good shot at getting in, and that’s really all you can know right now! The best thing you can do is to distract yourself (preferably with something completely unrelated to college admissions) while waiting for the results. Good luck!

Per Decision Calendar forum on this site: The school counselors received the email from BC officially stating that decisions will come out Tuesday December 2 in the evening. Did not give a specific time.
