l applied right before the deadline and have not received my portal yet
@uhhhhtransfer I would certainly reach out to them ASAP
For those looking for a rough timeline of when decisions will be out, I was at a info session for BC and they said they typically enter committee for transfers in late April, so decisions would be in early May
@bvbchamps thanks. That does help.
That news is earlier than I thought.
I have in my notes May 15 - 20. I can’t remember exactly where I got that.
@bloomfield88, you might be correct, exact time in May probably depends on how much debate goes on within committee, but I’d certainly expect no earlier than early May
Disregard my 04-08 post #23. Those dates are probably wrong.
In my other notes, I have May 9 - 20. That sounds more plausible.
Probably around May 6-10 ^
Excited to see the decisions, I was accepted to BU but did not receive much money because i had submitted the CSS profile late. If BC accepts me and gives me good financial aid i will most likely attend. Good luck to everyone!
Has anyone here applied to BC back in high school? I’m slightly worried because I was accepted as a high school senior, but turned them bc I had a change in heart with what I wanted to study. Now, after spending a year at another school, I’ve affirmed my desire to study at CSOM and really want to transfer to BC. Would love some advice as to how you guys think BC will look at me…Are they likely to accept someone that turned them down once before?
@summit3 I think you’re thinking about it the wrong way. If they accepted you once, it’s very likely they will do it again. I wouldn’t be worried about it, I mean you are one out of a ton of applicants I don’t think they have that kind of time to think about how you didn’t attend right after high school. Also, that happens all the time afterall, .
@summit3 When I visited they really emphasized that “please explain your college choice if you declined BC” section of the app, so I’d say it could actually effect you positively (or negatively) if you frame your answer to that well
@summit3 yeah i did but got rejected lmao and i dont think thatll negatively affect you as long as u back up why u decided not to attend^
Which would you guys pick b/t BU and BC??
@rbfall2019 def BC the campus vibe is much better and very accessible to the city of boston itself… BU has no campus vibe and is in the middle of the city
Newbie here.
My stat:
Community College Senior
GPA: 3.98
new SAT 1420
EC: volunteer for my college’s student food pantry program, teach the Catechism of the Catholic Church at my local parish.
Work: full-time job (40+ hours a week) at a metal fabrication company.
Note: legally immigrated to the USA in 2016, first-generation college student, Pell Grant recipient. Last but not least, I love the Catholic Faith. It is the most important part of my life. I prefer Catholic Universities over secular schools like Yale and Harvard.
Hi Catholicknight…I am a student here @ BC. I have a friend here @ BC, who’s stats were similar to your but slightly lower. He was accepted as a transfer last year. Getting in as a transfer is literally twice as hard as a fresh…but, you fit the mold. Good luck and report back. I am rooting for you.
I’m late to the party but I’m apply as a sophmore mathematics major to BC. My current college gpa is a 4.0 as well as having straight A’s on the midterm report. I had a 34 ACT and a 96 weighted HS gpa (high school was not my prime). I’m also a math, chem, and italian tutor on campus as well as being a member of the competitive club tennis team. What do you think my chances are looking like? Good luck to all of you! Oh yeah and my current college is University of Miami (almost forgot that part oops).
You sound like a terrific candidate. It’s all about institutional needs, space and majors.
@privatebanker thank you! Fingers crossed!
