Is the BU scholarship guaranteed for all 4 years? Are there GPA requirements you need to maintain to keep the scholarship? BU is very expensive, and if you lost the scholarship for any reason, you may be put in a difficult financial bind.
Apart from that concern… I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. But they are very different.
UM: one of the best public universities in the country, one of the best college towns in the country, very rah-rah school spirit… I’ve never met a UM grad who didn’t absolutely love their time there
BU: one of the best college cities in the world, you literally are in walking distance of other great schools like Harvard, MIT, Northeastern… BU has a very decentralized campus that blends into the city… it’s not a very rah-rah school spirit kind of place, except for hockey… BU looooooooooves their hockey… if you want an urban campus, BU is hard to beat… it is close to very large number of hospitals, some in walking distance, so you will have a plethora of research and intern possibilities
