Boston University class of 2024 RD

Same here, so disappointed. Similar stats! Shame on you BU, you wait listed /rejected so many Bos kids! :frowning:

@CMH2024 What did your decision letter say that told you that you got a guaranteed transfer?

@idkhuhwait this is from my daughter’s letter: We do, however, recognize your strong commitment to your studies and your many achievements in high school, as well as your potential for success at Boston University. For these reasons, you are one of a select group of students to whom we are offering guaranteed admission as a transfer student to the College of Arts & Sciences for September 2021.

Waitlisted :frowning:
This one was the first big disappointment for me
I guess I went into the process too hopeful :frowning:
1490 SAT, 5.0 W GPA, multiple leader positions in extracurriculars, grew up in Boston but now out of state, lived abroad, speak 3 languages, and this wasn’t on my app but I tried really hard all of high school to get into a good school

Congrats to people who got accepted though

Whelp. My son is in, even got into Kilachand Honors BUT apparently they think we are rich enough to pay almost full sticker price so he’s going to have to pass. Bummer.

@Jennibc Same. Very disappointed.

Did you get the email first for the status change?

Accepted to College of Communication!
Texas homeschool applicant, 60+ credit hours, 33 ACT with 12 on essay, AP scholar with distinction, National Hispanic Scholar, member of NHS. I had a pretty strong essay and solid recommendations which no doubt helped me. No scholarship or honors which is a little disappointing as I did see those at Northeastern, but I’m still shocked and excited! Congratulations to everyone who got in!

Admitted for the CGS London program.
1370 SAT
4.7 W GPA
33 ACT
OOS applicant
Solid ECs

I’m also waitlisted! Didn’t get an email about status change, just logged on because I knew decisions were today and it said it was ready. Staying on the waiting list though.

I got into the engineering school but no honors college and no scholarship which I’m a little disappointed about since I put some decent time into my apps for it.

1570 SAT (790M/780EBRW)
35 ACT
96 UW GPA/98.5 W
Solid EC’s, no hook (URM, 1st gen)
Essays were pretty good I thought, especially Honors College one

It’s still on my list but I got accepted into WashU STL so that’s probably my first, though I did love BU so I guess BU is second out of where I’ve been accepted. Also considering CWRU because of a nice package.

Also - anyone have any stats on Honors College acceptance? Maybe to make myself feel a little better (or worse) lol

Who is disappointed right now? (Me!)

My daughter was just admitted as a College of Fine Arts Scholar. Her major is vocal performance. $19,650 per year award. Good luck to all!

@Topcat123 we are in the same boat. D accepted CAS English plus kilachand with no merit. We are excited but 77k is a lot!

Accepted. Legacy. Major: Econ. Second Interest: English. 3.993 GPA, 34 ACT / 35 ACT Super Scored, 780 Math 2 Subject Test, 710 U.S. History Subject Test. I did not report AP scores because they were poor.

I am really happy to get into BU, and now I have two great options with BU and WashU!

ACCEPTED!!!

Did anyone accepted to Kalichand Honors receive any merit?

@ned6767 Hey, we are in the same boat. I got admitted to WashU, CWRU, and now BU. I have the same rankings as you, and WashU is my current #1.

Is there anyone who didn’t get an email and whose portal isn’t updated? My D’s says her application is complete, but nothing else.
