Guys, does BU meet 100% of demonstrated need for international students too?

@wornoutwaffle No, BU states that is only for US citizens and permanent residents. Even then it is BUā€™s determination of need, not the studentā€™s.

Well, I just got an email saying decisions will be up on the 21st.

Thank GOD BU is the type of school that tells you exactly when decisions are coming out. Iā€™m most likely getting rejected but it is still so nice to know!!! I got that email as well.

Honestly not expecting to get in this is a reach school for me. Already rejected UNC UMD and waitlisted for Clemson and UConn. Accepted into TCU, Penn St., Loyola Marymount, Ithaca College, Marist College, and Siena College.

Thanks @HaroldBenny for posting the stats from the Email. Few things stand out:

  1. Per fall 2018 BU Common data set , 3,611 students enrolled. But this year they want to enroll only 3100 students? That is not good news.

  2. If 50% of these 3100 seats are filled from the ED application pool of 5051 applications, acceptance rate for ED applicants is more than 30%.

  3. There are roughly 56,000 applications from the RD pool. We donā€™t know how many will be accepted. If we assume a yield of 15%, around 10,300 will be accepted from RD pool. That is 18% acceptance rate. If we assume the yield is 25%, they will only offer 7750 acceptances, making the acceptance rate for RD applicants 11%. Yikes! (I am not even including anyone deferred from ED pool while calculating the total RD applications)
