@BUIsMyBaby - some people’s messages aren’t changing from the default message to another one xx
@BUIsMyBaby there are some people who still have the default message, when it previous years all of them changed already, so either we are learning the decision late this year, or it is gonna update sometime on monday after 9am
did people with the thank you message get denied last year?
I guessed that bit. I assume that the messages are to split the application pools (without ED is deferral, so they know to look at again for regular decision, etc), and I didn’t really know where to put denial.
i guess all i can do is wait
Yep! We’ve been waiting since November 1st, we can do it!
Does anyone know what time the decisions are supposed to come out?
I think 2 pm est
Oh wicked I’ll be in calc or spanish haha
When the glitch happened did anyone see a Kilachand tab?
I didn’t even see the glitch lol
i’ll be in ap lit, my teacher is not gonna let me see it until 3 ;-;
Also I went snooping through the ED 2022 discussions and found this (it’s a handful):

Advice for people in the future applying EDI or ED II!
There are three different messages that the applicant link will show
“Our records indicate you have applied to [insert college here] as an Early Decision candidate”
This is the basic message. You get this message no matter what initially
The next two messages are what your message could later change to:
“Thank you for applying to [insert college here] as an Early Decision candidate”
This message includes Early Decision and in the past it has correlated with acceptance (and/or denial for ED II only)
This next message is entirely different than the first:
“Our records indicate you have applied to [insert college here] for the [upcoming school year]”
This message does not include Early Decision in the message, unlike the one you get when you make the applicant account. In the past it has been correlated with referral.
(Note “our records” alone is not the important part because two different messages say it. Also the “Thank You” always says “Early Decision” so that part is not relevant to the message specifical)
Under the assumption that people aren’t rejected from ED I. I’m pretty sure “Thank You” means accepted or rejected. Since there are no people rejected under ED I, it still has the same meaning, only no one is rejected. Meaning having “Thank you” in ED I indicates acceptance. “Our records” WITHOUT saying Early Decision in ED I means you have differed. In ED II, the “Thank you” message still means acceptance or rejection, although people are actually able to get rejected in ED II. For RD the message appears to have no significance at all.
It’s very unlikely the message is a “glitch” or unintended flaw in the system because it has a direct correlation with acceptance. I believe the purpose of the “our records” message is to assist in placing the students in the transfer pile. Instead of saying Early Decision, it says the college and academic year. This is essential because those are the candidates it plans to judge you along, not the Early Decision pile. I believe the “Thank you” message was plausibly designed for ED I originally to sound more welcoming to admitted students and they needed another message, but that last part is just speculation.
The only change now is that there are still people with the original message still so the change may be happening late (if you havent noticed I’m stressing quite a bit)
@Javery1 - haha luckily ill be aiding that period
@BUIsMyBaby - I did not see a kilachand tab. I only saw: home, view decision, next steps, my academics, events, and my profile.
@Javery1 same but I wish i did lol
@scmjmp - there’s noooo way my calc teacher will let me check, but my spanish teacher might if i ask nicely lol
@BUIsMyBaby - sameee, but idk if it would’ve just made me more on edge for the actual decision day.
@scmjmp did you apply to kilachand?
did people who got the, “or records indicate” w/ed and without ed have a message to verify their contact information?
@BUIsMyBaby - Yeah, I did. I thought my essay was alright but idk.
@Tennisstar038 - Yeah, I had the message to verify my information. After I verified, that part got taken out of my message.
Lol I’m in Calc too
There’s nothing I have to verify
