hey guys!! i was an ED1 applicant last year who ended up getting in and am now a student at BU 
i just wanted to share a couple things…
-the common app thing is not an indicator. it wasn’t last year, chances are it isn’t this year
-BUT the “our records indicate” and “thank you” is. seriously, every single person i knew that got in ED both IRL (all of my current friends at BU) and on here last year had the “thank you” message and every single person who got deferred, as noted on last year’s thread, had the “our records indicate” message. i know it stinks, because for those who got deferred it is such a let down, and i’m guessing BU does this to sort applications, but it’s how they’ve been doing it for the last couple years.
-ALSO little story time but it was an important lesson for me-- so i was in psych class on december 11th anxiously waiting to see if decisions would come out, and i kept telling my friend “no, it comes out at exactly 2pm EST, not a minute earlier or later…” less than five minutes later at like 1:30pm i found out the results. while 2pm EST is a good indicator for if it will come out at all that day, they could release decisions at like 1:30 sooo emotionally prepare yourselves for that hahah
-if you get in, CONGRATULATIONS!! i can’t wait to see you on campus next fall don’t hesitate to join the group me groups and find people online because some of my pals i met in my first couple weeks online are still my friends today!! it’s a great way to get to know the community.

@Javery1 I think its safe to just take every bit of information said on here with a grain of salt because NONE of us have a definitive answer, we’re all just speculating, as you previously did on past pages. I really don’t think it’s about people on this thread being trustworthy or not, as everyone is just trying to share the little info that they may have, credible or not… the only thing that is definite at this point is that decisions will come out before or on december 15th. best of luck everyone, all we can do is wait and hope they come sooner than that

BU had a call with the college counselors at my school today, and I spoke with the college counselor afterwards. She said that decisions will come out Friday afternoon!
@sunflowerlover Do you know if last year some people got deferred whose message never changed and still had the “our records indicate” along with “ED”?
I just called and they said Friday at 4 pm.
I hope you all realize that these admission counselors are all saying something different :(( different counselors will say different things. I’m like 95% sure they’re just saying random stuff just so you can get off the phone from them
