Boston

Right, but I think we’ve addressed whether or not Boston/NU is “dull” for freshman or not, and we’ve also talked about social life here.

The answer is that there is always stuff to do. It’s no New York, but it’s a city with like 150,000 college students, and they definitely don’t just sit around late at night. You’ll see people sitting or walking around until pretty late on weekends. Bars close at 2am, which is kind of a bummer once you can go out, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a good nightlife. Beside bars/clubs, there are countless restaurants, movie theaters, cultural events. There are always people walking around, until maybe 4 when it starts to quiet down. The city is pretty empty on weekends from the hours of like 6am-10am.

A friday night for a freshman (who parties) is probably something like this: hit up the dining hall around 7 or 8. Back to the dorm for some pre-gaming (while the girls are all showering and debating on which “going out top” to wear), hanging out. Probably around 11 you go out to a party. Maybe after an hour or two, walk to another nearby party. Stay there until maybe 2am-4am, depending on how late you like to stay out. Come home, be unhappy about your case of the spins, and go to sleep.

Saturday wake up around 11, go to breakfast at the dhall (bomb omelets and french toast sticks) and lounge there until like 12:30. Do whatever you like to do with your day (go downtown, go to newbury/pru/copley, study, see a movie, go to a museum, smoke lots of weed, watch tv, eat more food, workout, etc etc). Then around 7 essentially start all over.

Now that I’m 21 my weekend nights usually consist of dinner around 7, pregame until 10, stop by a party, go to bars around 12, and at 2 either come home or go hang out low-key at a friend’s. During the day I like to grocery shop, work out, go shopping, and study.

So. That’s about all I can come up with as to what we do in Boston.
