DS waitlisted in a big win for portal astrology. I have a masters from Brandeis, and they mentioned how they know this must be disappointing in light of his “family connection” which just kind of makes it sound like they were just waitlisting him to be polite since he’s sort of kind of a legacy. And with this one I officially give up trying to predict outcomes this admissions season! Congrats to everyone accepted!

D24 was accepted for the spring semester. I think this is almost like not getting in.

Mine too-her response was “what is this?”

I noticed lots of colleges started this strategy. Some give first semester study abroad and some are doing this way.

My daughter just got in! Congrats to everyone! :tada:

I’d look at it more as a gift—it’s like a mini gap year after years of really hard work, a chance to decompress! Is she offered an opportunity to go abroad? Congratulations on the acceptance.

Hi! I was accepted for the Spring 2025 semester, which was surprising because Brandeis, as enthusiastic as I am about it (especially as a Jewish student), was not at the top of my list in terms of difficulty. I was just wondering if anyone has any information regarding what they look at in terms of a Midyear acceptance. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity, and I think Brandeis is amazing, I just don’t understand the selection process for Midyear students.

D24 accepted Presidential Scholarship $19K:)

@Pier , I agree. Academically this may not make much difference but socially this may become challenging for their age. The COA is also bit confusing. They gave her $14k scholarship for the spring semester but it still costs $27k, just for the spring semester. It’s not clear about the scholarship for the entire 4 years.
