Bras

In the Panache reviews for herroom, several reviewers indicate wearing the bra as a staple every day, all day.

I am a big fan of Wacoal. Usually buy when Lord & Taylor has their annual Wacoal event with professional fitting. I am pretty sure that Bloomingdales’s offers as well.

Well, another futile try to find any bras near my size at TJMaxx and Nordstrom’s Rack. Oh well, had nice lunch with friend and found a very cute Tumi handbag for $115 (stated retail was $195). It’s a nice medium blue and I think D will like it. Roomy enough for kindle and sweater or wrap, plus phone and other stuff.

Even celebrities need help with bra shopping:

Well, I went back to our only real bra boutique on this island and exchanged one bra (with tags) for my proper size (smaller band, larger cup). I also bought a sports bra and a nice lace bra. After that, I went to 4 Ross stores and bought bras I like that fit me pretty well. They were less than $40 for the 4 combined. The bras at the bra shop were much more, but I’m sure I will enjoy wearing them for a long time. They were literally the only bras in all 4 stores that fit me!

Yes, that bra in #103 is really an unflattering and unsupportive fit. Folks planning to expose their bras in public like that should really make more of an effort to wear things that fit properly. I had no idea that folks went around in their underwear, but I guess Lady Gaga makes her own rules. She has the resources to have properly fitting garments.

The gold standard for large-breasted runners is the Enell High Impact Sports Bra. http://www.enell.com/enell-sport
I have owned several over the years and swear by them. A nice tight fit, so no chafing. It also wicks sweat away from your body.

I just bought this bra http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/natori-yogi-convertible-bra/3378483?origin=category-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=0&fashionColor=Midnight%2F+Silver&resultback=500 at Nordstrom yesterday. I will try it out in Spin class today. The cup sizes go all the way to H.

My guess is that Gaga’s goal was to show as much boob as possible without getting arrested. But cleavage has been done to death, so – underboob from a far-too-small bra.

Bookmarked!

It is really a good idea to try on the bras in various sizes to figure out which brands and stayles fit you best. The corect size can be slightly different in different styles and brands. It’s kind of like the female clothing–LOTS of variation in sizing, especially in the US. I have found more than expected at Ross stores, including name brands and excellent prices ($5.99 and up). Once you know your correct size in specific brands, you can shop online for those sizes and brands to see if you can get some bargains, but it’s good to get fitted at a good boutique so you KNOW your size. It makes a huge difference.

The correct size band should NOT ride up your back and stay in place for the entire time you wear it. If it rides up, it is too loose. It really makes a huge difference. If you wear the correct band size, the bra straps are only supporting about 20% of the weight and you will NOT get sore shoulders or grooves in your shoulders. If you have the correct size, you will not have tissue spilling out over, under, or around the cup. You also will not have creases or wrinkles in your cups.
