Breaking down the Asian category (part 2)

<p>No I did not. I only said employers tend to look down slightly on female MIT resumes. Not every employers obviously, but some. It’s sad, just like employers are sometimes racist too. There was a study done where they sent out like 5000 resume with identical qualifications but different names. It turned “white” names like “Greg” or “Neil” got a lot more responses than black names like “Tyrone”.</p>

<p>It’s sad. But it’s not going to change unless we kill affirmative action.</p>

<p>With no affirmative action, people can be proud of their MIT degrees regardless of their race/gender. It’s also fair to all those qualified female/minority students that deserved their MIT degree.</p>

<p>We cannot have equality unless we make everything equal. And affirmative action is standing in the way.</p>
