Bringing an Instrument to College?

i generally feel like people who played other instruments (i.e. trumpet) before picking up the guitar are better players.

<p>I generally find that girls who have played brass or woodwind instruments (i.e. flute) are better at giving–wait, what?</p>

but my strong opinions on this subject are just because i’m around musicians constantly because i do colorguard

there’s nothing worse than a mediocre guitarist. there’s definitely a difference between someone who “plays the guitar” and someone who’s an actual musician

<p>I played piano since I was six until I left for college. I find that 99% of people trying to show-off playing any sort of instrument (mostly guitar) suck donkey dork. When people try to show-off their skills (or lack thereof), I have no tolerance for their incompetencies.</p>
