<p>At Logan Airport in Boston, all of the restaurants past security advertise that they will pack your food to take on the airplane. That includes places like Legal Seafood! So, at least domestically, there is no problem bringing food you purchase at the airport on the plane.</p>
<p>Most of my flights to Europe were overnite flights so I merely have a lite meal at the airport and forego eating on the plane.</p>
<p>I always empty my water bottle while standing in the security line and then re-fill it when past and then take it on-board the plane. I did this as recently as April going to and from China and going to and from Colorado last week. I guess nuts are not a problem because we’ve brought them back from Europe and Asia and they were opened. I even declared them, but no problem.</p>

<p>This is an easy one. It’s completely arbitrary (like them telling you your instrument won’t fit the overhead when you had the same exact plane for the flight out).</p>
<p>It’s simply a matter if security is hungry, or if the food LOOKS good. They can always eat it later, doesn’t have to be gobbled now. Rest assured, if it looks appetizing, they WILL confiscate it. ;)</p>
