Will you attend if Eckard and Pepperdine end up as the only options? How did you make that list?
@jessie1010 :
Where else have you applied?
What criteria did you use?
Most people are reacting strongly to the fact you applied to a known liberal hippie school as to a known conservative evangelical school, and to a small school where presumably you want interactive classes and a close knit community as well as to a giant school where there may be as many students in one single lecture hall/ course as there are in your entire freshman class at the smaller college.
Do you have a Fiske guide? Or Princeton review’s best colleges guide? If not can you get your hands on one? You may want to add a couple more colleges that match what you prefer (hippie vibe/evangelical Christian vibe/giant impersonal strong academics and sports…)
How about CU Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz, New College of Florida, Flagler, Florida gulf coast university. UNC Wilmington, Coastal Carolina, or, for the more Northern coast experience, University of Western Washington, College of the Atlantic, Endicott or Salve Regina?
A shock to me as a German living in the US was the humidity in the summer, and I’m in PA.
People drink beer out of cans and weak coffee (I like neither), every beverage has to have ice in it, and recycling is not mandatory.
And the swearing, I did not grow up with that extend of swearing, but I guess you are not supposed to take that literally.
Breakfast here is eggs, bacon, and more, not toast with honey or jam.
And people (my H) hate to be interrupted.
Did you apply to University of Pittsburgh, it’s in a fun city, which should be neither too hot nor too cold as far as climate goes?
What are your stats like?
