Broadway play/musical

All great shows… I’ve seen a lot of them. I loved Spelling Bee… Lion King, Beauty & Beast (saw it 12 years ago!). But no one mentioned the revival of Chorus Line, opening in the Fall. I already have my tix for Dec. 30th!

I did, nymom! I also already have tickets. :)

We are visiting relatives in NYC on Aug. 9 and I’d like to take Ss 14 and 17 to a Broadway show. Is Spamalot worth the price or should I look for tickets to something else? Thanks for advice.

Alwaysamom… Sorry … guess I didn’t read all the way through… I can’t wait to see it, but there’s a piece of me that feels it won’t be as amazing at the original. We saw a road show of it in Florida on vacation a few years ago… it was awful. My kids hated it (the older loves theater… younger not). I hope we’re not disappointed.

jazzymom, Spamalot is a good show. I saw it with the original cast who were spectacular and I’m not sure it would be the same experience now. Are your sons Monty Python fans? If so, they’d probably enjoy it anyway. It’s still a very popular show so I’m not sure how lucky you’ll be getting tickets on such short notice.

nymom, I also hope not to be disappointed. From all the buzz I’ve heard through people I know in the theatre world, it sounds like this will be a great production. I’m very excited to see it again!
