Soooo … here I am about a month and a half AFTER the discussion started for “Broken Country!” I had read it for my RL Book Club, so put it out of my mind when this group chose it for August. I then promptly forgot about it until about 2 days ago when it dawned on me that August 1 had come and gone by a lot. Sheesh!!! (I chalk up my memory lapse to a lot of stuff going on in my/our lives at the moment.)
ANYWAY, I just quickly skimmed through the comments here. I’m with a lot of you – the book was well written, but I didn’t really like any of the characters, especially Beth.
I’ll try to get my act together and join you all in October!
