My D got off from waitlist on 11th, due is tomorrow, 20th. Some movements after that, I think… Harvard even made any move yet. Too soon to give up!
Why would the waves be done? Brown, in their waitlist information, even said they won’t start taking people off until the 15th. So far, no one has gotten off the waitlist after this date. Unless they’re just going to take individual people rather than waves, it just doesn’t make sense to me how they would be done with accepting people already.
Did your guys’ waitlist letters give a specific date range for expecting a response? I’m a transfer applicant, and mine just says by mid-June.
5/15 - 6/30
well if an AO says it then it must be true
Regional AO states that things will be “wrapping up in the next few weeks.”
Is it worth calling to ask if they won’t dissolve the waitlist at the end of June this year? Brown is said to make a decision on whether or not it will be remote on July 15 this year, and people may take gap years if online instruction is announced.
Out of curiosity, where has everyone deposited regardless of the waitlist?
@kodyclaytonedu honestly seems like pretty valid question to me
@jiax26 University of Virginia. Offered excellent financial aid tied with a scholarship and a chance to be a part of the Clark Scholars Program?
Vanderbilt for me @jiax26
@jiax26 Cornell in the College of Arts and Sciences for CS + Bio
Johns Hopkins for me @jiax26
Northwestern here!
WashU in St. Louis
man you all are going to great colleges, leave some for the rest of us
I committed to Rice
Yea I was actually wondering if people will still accept the waitlist if they are accepted now… I feel like I’m pretty committed to the place where I’m going… I dunno about you guys
Yeah I mean if you wouldn’t go then you should decline the waitlist, there’s no point in reducing the chances of someone else’s dream
I think it’s a little sad how the letter said not to expect anything before May 15th but they have only taken people off the waitlist before that date
