i just watched harvard and cornell acceptance reaction videos and actually cried a little. I WANT THAT TO BE US.
Iāve been reading some of accepted/deferred studentsā posts on other school threads and they seem so much more qualifiedā¦
@cynyuen more qualified than whom? My initial reaction to most chance me threads is that they are far more qualified than me but I think that is because itās hard to see yourself and your own accomplishments objectively
also essays definitely play a significant factor so itās difficult to truly gauge whether or not someone is more qualified
@astrobiodreams Perhaps? But Iām also naturally a very anxious person and my mind always jumps to worst case scenario.

I think weāre all exceptional in some areas and probably below Ivy-average in others. Iām in 300 level university math and physics, have excellent-to-perfect test scores, was very committed to robotics (though did not hold official leadership positions), and started a program for helping elementary school teachers integrate engineering and hands-on learning to their science classes in a way that satisfies the common core, using robotics. I also have a not-perfect GPA (3.75), go to an underfunded public school (could be seen as good or bad depending), didnāt hold very many leadership positions, took a break from every extracurricular iāve been involved in (i.e. most are 3 years instead of 4, with a gap in the middle while I focused on other things, a big reason for the no leadership), never did any sort of research internship (big regret of mine) or won any olympiad or anything else major, and just didnāt have that many extracurriculars in general (the big ones were robotics, forensics, and drama tech. everything else was like, national merit, tutoring, et cetera)

I will find a good pic! Their names are Aspen, Pasha, and Duke, two are huskies and one is a mix between a husky, german shepherd, and Czechoslovakian wolf-dog (heās huge lol)
