<p>That article got a lot of criticism after it was published, I think people thought it was really poorly researched and a terrible and skewed representation of the school.</p>
<p>That article is also really out of date. Brown’s endowment is now 1.6 billion dollars and there is a drive kicking off this fall to make it over 2 billion before 2009. Ruth Simmons is a world of difference from Gordon Gee in almost every way. We now also have need blind admissions for all but internationals. BTW, the article I was referring to getting a lot of criticism was the Dartmouth one, I’ve never read the Vanity Fair one.</p>
