<p>@astrogirl, I agree with fireandrain. Your showing up on their doorstep will be met with a polite but glib brushoff. Even if you had a remarkable story to convince them, they wouldn’t likely meet with you because that would be setting a terrible precedent. It would only encourage 100s of other face-to-face pleaders to come knocking on their doors in May. They’d be idiots to spend any time with you. You must understand it from their perspective.</p>
