I wouldn’t discount the BMC alumnae network. My D (BMC '11) has networked with many BMC grads who have provided her with great advice and leads for employment. I was quite impressed with how helpful these women have been.

Couple of other points for BMC: the bi-co/tri-co consortium (You can take classes at Haverford or Swarthmore.) There’s a shuttle bus that goes back and forth. You can even walk from BMC to Haverford. I believe that the distances are greater between the various schools in the Five College Consortium than they are in the BMC/Haverford/Swarthmore consortium.

Being close to an urban area is a plus for BMC. Philadelphia (especially with respective to internships) is a commuter train ride away from BMC. Boston is about 2 hours from Northampton.

I think you’ll get a great education at either college–good luck with your choices.
