my school does not rank per se, but it does say who’s first and second in the class, and it does have percentile. as far as my school is concerned, i have no B’s that will go into my gpa, since they take the average of all my marking period grades in a class and that is what goes into gpa, and when u average the grades they all come out to A- or A, but on the midyear report they show first and second marking period grades, so colleges will see the B’s.

THis is just my opinion- since I really don’t have a clue. However, in college you will take 4 classes at the most 5 classes. If you are scoring mostly A’s and a B+ in your AP courses and are taking 6 or 7 courese plus very involved then I don’t think that will be the thing that keeps you out. If you are in the top 10% and can handle a rigorous load and do well then I think that is the point. My son got an A- for the first time as a semester grade. He carries 7 classes with 5 AP’s and very busy with his hobbies. I think if an adcom said- that the A- with that load is what kept him out- I would doubt that it would have been the right place for him anyhow.

Plus at this point there isn’t anything you can do about it right? So at this point is to focus on the things you do have control over and get excited about all of the schools from the saftey’s on up that you have applied to and hope for the best.
