***BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2013***

@Mistryse13
It was in a 8.5 x 11 envelope with a couple of papers inside. Its the same with all of Drexel’s acceptance letters

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CC

Did anybody get a scholarship from GW? Does anybody know what BA/MD kids get for merit awards? And how is the tuition fixed beyond how it is fixed for everybody at GW?

From my guidance counselor’s interpretation of the acceptance letter, you can send in the form to indicate your interest in the program, but at no point are you declaring your acceptance of admission to GW or putting down your deposit, at least until May 1. I’m going to send it in next week.

@newdoc20202021.
I got an email today

NKB747- not sure of the date, but it was somewhere at the end of their interview cycle I think.
Any news of UM HPM…singer/stamps scholarships

Hey everyone I’ve been reading the posts on here for a while and just wanted to share that I got rejected from Penn State Program and UConn’s too as an NJ resident.

However I am in a dilemma. I applied to UMDNJ through NJIT and Rutgers but I only got an interview through NJIT and although Rutgers admission said they would contact me for the program, I didn’t hear from them at all. Today I got a letter from Rutgers admission saying I didn’t get into the “BA/MD Program sponsored by Rutgers and NJMS.”

Does this mean I have been rejected from UMDNJ accelerated altogether or am I still waiting from NJIT?

My D has NW HPME, BU Medical program, Penn State/Jefferson and UAD medical.
DO anyone know who pays any scholarship? Can we even ask them?

@Maskinen I don’t know how that’s possible, because Rutgers is not at all as difficult as NJIT. However, you can still be considered, because NJMS has two interviews, one at the undergrad and the other at NJMS. When and where did you have your NJIT interview? Have you interviewed at NJMS yet? They really should be about done with the NJMS interviews, if you haven’t already interviewed at the medical school itself I believe you have been rejected from all of NJMS’s programs, because they are supposed to be announcing decisions in the net week.

@fantastic17 What do you mean? Are you asking if any of the programs you listed give scholarships? I doubt it, they get you in with the program and keep you paying high for them. You can definitely ask them, but with most of these more expensive programs, scholarship opportunities for freshmen are slim to none. For example, Penn State/Jeff excludes you from all scholarships from Eberly College of Science. Did this answer your question, idk if I misinterpreted it…?

did anyone receive their penn state/jefferson acceptance letter by snail mail?
I found out i was accepted by checking the online portal, but I still have not received any snail mail from psu. So I’m guessing the letters or packet got lost.
What was in the packet? Was there something important?

@TheBombingRange

Idk what to make of it either. Why did Rutgers send me a letter of rejection and is it for NJMS or just through Rutgers-NJMS? I got an interview at NJIT and an interview at NJMS a while ago. My NJMS interview went extremely well and went over the allotted time by at least an hour. I’m just worried about this Rutgers letter because they didn’t contact me for anything NJMS-related at all. When do we get the letter from NJIT? Is it by April 1st or on April 1st they send it out, meaning we get it later during April?

I think the letter is coming on April 1st.
I wouldn’t be worried about Rutgers, it means nothing.

Hope you’re right… Anyway good luck in your acceptances and decisions! I’ll be sure to report back here when I hear from NJIT.

Invited to interview for Rice/Baylor MSP! This is my last shot at a bs/md program

Does anyone know whether the interview will be held only on the 12th, or is it being split up into separate days?

@matrix007-S did get accepted into Siena/Albany Medical College but having some reservations…looks like either accept and then if changes mind would need to transfer (difficult socially) or decline, take a major outside sciences at NU and pre-med requirements as electives and start all over again. Very confused
If decline a regular undergrad program (NU), would they hold it against you if trying to transfer later?
Thanks everyone for their help!

@ Meadow1234
Can you please post your son’s SAT scores? This will help us to gauge ourself for next year’s admissions? Thanks in advance.

My D is waiting for UCSD interview notice, so far no email, no call…, I was told that the email will be sent out today instead of yesterday 3/25(scheduled date on the application package). I think the competition is so intense this year. Good luck to every UCSD MS applicant.

My kid got into this program, by mail received last Sat. We are from the West coast. Is this a good program? what is the acceptance rate for this kind of program?

@meadoe1234 My personal opinion is not to squander away the admission to Sienna/AMC program. Sienna is a great college located in a nice part of Albany. AMC is highly reputed for its strengths in teaching (great simulation lab!). So why would your son leave the program to start all over again at NU as a Pre-medical student?

I suppose NU will consider him for transfer since he was accepted through RD. Why not ask this to admission officer directly?

D accepted to Miami HPME!!

@Arborvitae
Congratulations! Did you find out today or yesterday?

accepted into Miami HPME.
Notification by email.
