to clarify, does āapplying for aidā mean directly to the school, or indirectly through the FAFSA and the CSS profile

I believe that itās to the school so that theyll actually consider your FAFSA and CSS profile Iām not sure though
I did CAS neuroscience

I bet all of yāall are incredibly smart and talented. None of us having anything to worry about, weāll get in. And even if you donāt, Iām pretty sure your application gets put in the pool for RD, so you still have a shot!!

CAS but I applied to an intercollegiate major with Sargent: Linguistics & Speech, Language, and Hearing sciences!

I applied to Questrom for an independent concentration, hoping to take classes on a few things (economics, public policy, etc.), Iām not sure what my major will be yet though.

True. And even if it goes to RD, the fact that one had applied ED boosts the ādemonstrated interestā category of the selection criteria when they look at it again.

Do you guys know if Sargent is really hard to get into? I applied to sargent and Iām really worried and nervous. also I never had a financial decision listed so Iām pretty sure Iāve been rejected 
have a feeling they recieved a decrease in number of early decision 1 applicants bc they pushed the RD and ED2 DEADLINES back. I know several schools who had reported lower numbers then previous years have been doing this. This could mean that the odds r tipped slightly in ED1 applicantsā favor. Also the fact that BU already has a low yield rate could mean they will accept applicants from the bottom of the threshold. WE got this yāall!!

All you can do at this point is wait, and Iām sure thereās no point in stressing (although itās so much easier said than done) just try to have hope and reasonably prepare yourself for the worst. I hope you get in, I know Sargent is rigorous but Iām not sure how hard it is to get in.

Does any one know for those who did see the aid offer, do you think they most likely got in?
I saw an aid offer. It had my name, my BU ID number, and all the details that are included in financial aid offers. It came from BU, so yes I would say it was real. I definitely donāt think I was supposed to see it yet, but I would say I got in. I donāt see why there would even be an aid offer available if I wasnāt accepted. But again, nothing is confirmed.
does anyone know if people actually get rejected in ED 1? I heard a rumor that no one gets rejected and you either get deferred or accepted, but idk.
The deadlines were moved back 3 days. I wouldnāt read too much into that.
