Bug bites?!

Hyperjulie,
If you are really still concerned that they might be bedbugs, there are other things you can look for as clues. Around the floor, under the couch or between the couch cushions, look for “husks”. Bedbugs shed their skins when they grow and the husks look like those little brown skins that come off of popcorn kernels (although, if you eat popcorn on that couch, it could be confusing. lol.) Also, between the cushions, look for tiny black stains or dots…or, actual bugs. They are light brown and look a little bit like a tick.

Another thought, could they be hives? My youngest D has a lot of drug allergies and her hives are strange looking. Some get really big and others don’t. The y sometimes are areound her joints and even on her scalp. Are you taking any new medications?

It is always a good idea to use a sheet if you are sleeping on a sofa. A sheet will keep the sofa clean, and it will protect you from anything that may be in the fabric. It will also be much more comfortable. In this case, use a white sheet - if it is bedbugs, you should see tiny little specks of blood in the morning where the bugs bit you during the night.
