<p>Yes, my kid also got the form letter. It really turned kid off St. Olaf.</p>
<p>Here’s what kid got out of it (not the actual letter but kid’s take on it): “You are okay, but despite your 4.0 and very, very high ACT score, you are not worthy of being invited to our Buntrock interviews. We have invited TWO HUNDRED, yes, TWO HUNDRED students to our campus to interview (on our website, we said we only invite 150 but we actually invited TWO HUNDRED!). You didn’t make the cut. Your application was below the TWO HUNDRED mark. If there is any $$ left over, we might consider you for a lower scholarship.”</p>
<p>I think they could have written a better letter.</p>
