There are two buses that run between Allentown and Philadelphia - Bieber [Bieber Tourways - Search Results](http://www.biebertourways.com/Result.aspx?Id=3) and Trailways.[Bus to New York | Boston | Toronto | Albany | Philadelphia | Lancaster](http://trailways.com/bus-to-northeast.php)
If you drive but just don’t want to drive into the city, you might consider driving to Lansdale or Colmar and taking a train on SEPTA [SEPTA | Lansdale/Doylestown Line Regional Rail Schedule | Weekday | to Center City Philadelphia](<a href=“Routes – Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority”>Routes – Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) I prefer Lansdale because they have a lot more trains and a nice train station, but I guess that wouldn’t matter too much to you.
