<p>The BA in business is in the works for UCI, but it might not happen for a few years. </p>
<p>If I were you, I would contact someone at the business school at UCI (they offer minors in Management and Accounting) and the econ department at UCSD. Ask them about the different programs, internships and job opportunities. </p>
<p>Do you have a specific area of business you are interested in? Typically, internships and job opportunities at school will be in the surrounding communities of where your college is. I know that in the immediate Irvine/Newport/Costa Mesa area you will find companies that range from real estate, accounting, consulting, finance, entertainment and resorts (Disneyland), tech (Google), biotech, consumer products (surf companies), etc… </p>
