<p>thank you so much for everyone’s help! i think i’ll reserve a cab in advance, either on time taxi or charlene’s safe ride. it’s my first time visiting duke/durham and i will also be going alone because my parents can’t make it, so i’ll feel safer taking the cab instead of public transport, but thanks for the info all the same.</p>
<p>westcoastmom, do you know what time i should be at the airport (whenever i travel, it’s usually two hours before, but i’m not sure if that applies everywhere) and how much leeway time i should give? my flight leaves at 5:15 pm on southwest airlines. so i should tell them to come 3ish? also, will checking in and getting through security take a long time at rdu?
