First of all, “cal poly” is part of the name because it used to be part of the cal poly SLO campus and even though it isn’t anymore, it still is a polytechnic school in california, hence “cal poly”. Next, I don’t see what difference you going to cal poly SLO makes, regarding the name of the campus, and how it compares. Your last sentence is the most ignorant, what exactly do you mean by it? Surely if you’re so academically elevated to get in to cal poly SLO, you’d know that it’s only worthwhile to compare specific collages of the campuses, such as engineering. For example, the engineering college at cal poly pomona is at a much higher level than the one at long beach. The same can’t be said for some other majors, and is why it’s best not to compare the campuses in general like you just did.</p>
