Anyone get accepted to Cal Poly Pomona for fall 2026? What’s your stats.. major, gpa, if any required classes done, transfer from community college or CSU?
Accepted into Architecture 2/23 - impacted major. Coming from a CC in so cal. Completed major requirements (math + physics). AS in arch in progress, gpa at application submission time was a 3.85 (currently after intercession classes a 3.86, have 14 units left to complete this semester) & will be submitting portfolio at deadline for placement consideration.
Any transfers hear back yet from Cal Poly Pomona? It seems like acceptances start coming in around this time based on old posts.
It looks like CPP has some information at
The main criterion is GPA * 925 + 1100. Applicants with ADT (associates degree for transfer) get +0.1 added to GPA for impacted majors (+0.2 for non-impacted). The formula gives 2950 for a 2.0 GPA, 3875 for a 3.0 GPA, and 4800 for a 4.0 GPA.
There are bonus points for other aspects like local area, military, first generation to college, etc. but the point values are not listed.
The page also lists indexes for the 2025-2026 application cycle. Note that some majors are much more competitive than others. Many majors are listed with 2950 (2.0 GPA). The highest threshold listed is 4612 (3.8 GPA) for computer science.
Waiting for my child’s acceptance for ME as a transfer. Any transfer students get accepted yet?
Waiting for ME as well. Hopefully acceptances will come in this week.
Got accepted today for Mechanical Engineering. For those waiting, check your portal.
It may help others if those reporting decisions included:
- Major
- College GPA
- Whether you will have an ADT (associates degree for transfer, AA-T or AS-T).
- GPA * 925 + 1100 (+92.5 if you will have an ADT).
- Other factors listed under “MFA Model” at Cal Poly Pomona Transfer Student Profile: Requirements & Insights .
Congrats! What was your gpa? And did you have all required prerequisites done like Newtonian mechanics?
