I may not be an expert in FAFSA, but I never had to worry about applying for it contingent on me getting into the school. There was a list of schools that I just selected for my FAFSA during the process. wendell21, it generally means that either the department that is admitting you is slow or you are on the waitlist, i think. i got my decision in march, but i was a transfer student and applied for a non-impacted program. my friend as an ME didnt find out until late may or june, i think. one of my friends never officially got rejected, just was on the waitlist and it said “complete” until school started. not sure when they send out rejections.
