calculus woes -- SOS

I’d never taken calc before, but I too ended up in the M-119, M-211 conundrum. The way that it was explained to me by my advisor was that M-119 was business calc, more geared towards “here’s a formula, use it”. M-211 is more theoretical, “here’s what we need to do, lets derive a formula that accomplishes that task, and here’s why it works”, a little more nuts and bolts. I ended up taking M-211, because my advisor thought that a 21 on the math exam meant that I was a genius (i’m an algebra and geometry whiz, so yeah I did well because that was the majority of the test!), and struggling - I ended up with a C :(. But I noticed that almost every kid around me had taken calc before, so I’d probably go with 211 based on your background.
