Call colleges before you visit--some are cancelling in-person classes

TCU is on Spring Break this week and has extended it through next week. After school resumes, it will be online only till at least April 3.

CARLETON COLLEGE asks all students able to leave campus do so by Wednesday March 18, following the completion of its winter trimester. Students unable to travel for financial or other reasons may stay in a dorm and use a dining hall that will remain open for them.

Spring break is extended for one additional week, now set to run from March 17 to April 5.

The first half of the Spring Trimester will begin April 6 but classes will be conducted initially via online, distance-learning only. Carleton currently plans to restart face-to-face classroom instruction on campus as of May 5 and those will continue through the end of the second half of spring trimester, which will now conclude on June 8. Graduation for seniors remains set for June 13.

Point Park going to on line classes for the rest of the semester. Spring musical, Pippin, performed opening night tonight. Rest of shows cancelled.

Hartt has extended its spring break to March 29th and is doing online classes until April 5th. At that point they’ll reassess.

Add Syracuse to the list . All visits cancelled thru May 1st.

Texas Tech has canceled the final two shows of its 19/20 season

I asked the folks at Temple whether they are planning to offer any virtual tours/Q and A with current students, etc. They responded quickly and said they are working on something like that, and to stay tuned.

Kent state officially closed for the semester

Otterbein is going to online AND smaller experiential learning classes that maintain the social distancing guidelines. The kids there are very interested in reaching out to all prospective accepted students
