Following intently.
Not curly hair here but definite WAVES that I refuse to fight.
Hope to learn some tips for a slightly more tamed look.
My stylist gets great results on my curly hair with Kevin Murphy’s Killer Curls and a diffuser on the blow dryer. Unfortunately I have not mastered this. Often wish I’d married a stylist instead of an engineer.
^^^ I also cannot replicate my stylist’s work. Also, admittedly, I don’t have the patience to try hard. I’m better off with wash and go in the summer time anyway!
I use some of the Shea Moisture products including this one:

They have a lot of products there is a little guide you can follow on their website to lead you to a product that might work for you.
LF, not more product, but the right product. When I add nothing to my hair post-shower, it’s a frizzy mess. But too much stuff, or the wrong stuff, and it’s heavy and greasy-looking. Curly hair is such a question of balance.
I was trying to explain some of this to my D who has DH’s stick-straight hair. I said, “Curly hair can’t be forced. You can’t wrestle it into submission. It has to be…” I was looking for the right word, like “persuaded,” but she supplied “flirted with.” Yes, that’s exactly it! Curly hair has to be flirted with.
Oooo! New discovery this morning! This is what I love about curly hair haha.
So 6 months ago I got some Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Milk, but my hair was shorter at the time and it made it look heavy and dead. Plus I did the root-to-tip finger comb-through, which was a mistake. I’m not sure why I didn’t throw it away, as I usually do with product fails.
This morning when I got up, my hair didn’t look bad. The curl was good, the shape was good except for a couple of flat spots, but it was just all-over fuzzy. So instead of doing my usual shower-conditioning routine, I got out the Shea Moisture. It’s Sunday and I’m not going anywhere, so if it was a disaster, no problem. I put a marble-sized dab on my palm and rubbed it thoroughly around both palms. Then I bent over and scrunched the living daylights out of my hair, avoiding only the roots. Fuzz solved, flat spots solved, it looks fantastic!
