Applying RD!
Following.
RD here!
RD here. Checklists just disappeared from the portal. Expected release date is March 9.
What’s the source for 9 March?
They release 2nd Saturday of March.
How nerve-wracking
This is complete hearsay, but I heard somewhere that Caltech RD results come out earlier than MIT (usually released on Pi Day) which also supports a March 9th decision date.
A couple days before the date, they should release an equation to solve for the exact decision time. I’m not sure if it comes through the Beaver Breakroom, but the puzzle was posted to the Caltech Admissions IG in December for REA. (Son was admitted REA, but he doesn’t want me to disclose his stats, so I didn’t post on this thread earlier.)
Status just changed from “Application Complete” to “Awaiting Decision”
I was looking at last year’s kids’ stats who got in -probably no hope for my son.
I personally don’t think looking at the few stats that get reported each year on CC gives a very accurate picture of who is getting admitted. From my son’s experience, the school values a well-developed spike. (The Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions hand writes a personal note on each acceptance letter, so we do actually have some idea of what caught their attention.) Sorry i can’t say more. I was vibrating out of my chair the week before REA results were published, so I get the urge to research every bit of data you can find. But I think focusing on what is totally great about your child’s application (and I’m sure there are many, many wonderful things) is better than feeling anxious about the stats shared in prior years.
Did anyone else get 10:22 AM for the release time?
Isn’t it 11:22 am?
You need to subtract 1 because if it was 2x energy, then it would be “6.3 earthquake releases one times more energy than a 5.6 earthquake”.
Ok, I hope my son knows this answer.
According to copilot (windows AI) its around 10:47. can be wrong
11:22
My kid told me that Dtime is at 11:22am PST.
