[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Essays, Essays, Essays. I honestly think they’re the reason I managed to get on the waitlist. Also, my stats were pretty solid.
[
] Weaknesses: ECs were weak, especially in STEM areas. I’m honestly not surprised as I didn’t even make science bowl or math team at my own school, and the captains for those teams didn’t get in either.
[] Accepted: UCLA, UCSD, UC Irvine (Campus Honors Program), Washington (Purple and Gold Scholarship)
[
] Schools you were rejected from? MIT
[li] Schools you are waiting for? The entire Ivy League plus Stanford[/li][/ul]General Comments: I’ll take it. I honestly thought I was going to get rejected, like it was a reach and I didn’t have any ECs related to science or math. I only applied because my mom works for JPL, but even then, I wasn’t expecting to get in. I honestly think my essays were what made a huge difference because there were a lot of kids at my school more qualified for a place like Caltech that got waitlisted or rejected. Good luck to those of you that got in and those of us on the waitlist!
