Campus Linens

we ordered from Residence Hall Linens - got the package deal for S a couple years ago…order/delivery went fine…quality is average (not highest thread counts, etc., but perfectly fine for sloppy boys’ triple!). the only complaint was that the blanket in the package was not an XL - didn’t quite fit my 6’3" S to the shoulders…but the room was warm and the comforter was more than enough.

For DD leaving this year, we didn’t go to the online sites, but had many BB&B coupons - got pretty much the same items - saved about $25, but lots more time spent shopping around, instead of the 10 min. at the computer.

Residence Hall Linens (http://www.ocm.com/programs.htm</a>) is used by schools for fund-raising. I just had a problem with their sheets that were not as advertised. They will take my return and pay for my postage, but I had to make a couple of calls to make it happen. The quality? Discount store. But this is for a boy’s dorm so I can live with that. ;)

You don’t need extra-long sheets for extra-long beds.

Bear with me while I explain!

College mattresses are unusually narrow and unusually thin. Even with an eggcrate (small exception for feather beds - my normal sheets were a tight fit when I had one of those), there is still enough sheet to fit easily on an extra-long bed. My Laura Ashley sheets worked well on my extra-long bed.

ariesathena…you took the words out of my mouth! the stretchy jersey sheets in the regular twin size fit fine on the X Long bed even with an egg crate and mattress pad due to the thinness and narrowness of the dorm beds.

Yay! Someone else understands! Thanks, Cathy. :)

Thanks for that tip. We found some sheets that my daughter really liked but not in extra long. Will definitely use an egg crate, and mattress pad. Are we still okay with regular sheets not jersey knit for a fit? They do have deep pockets.
