<p>hmmm. “all quiet on the western front” and “zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance” are the only two summer reading books i ever actually read. they were both excellent. so if you’re actually looking for a good book to read, not just looking to learn vocabulary, i’d say those are two good places to start. (of course, the good people in charge of educating the american public have done their best to make sure as few of us are interested in reading for its own sake as possible . . . sorry for the editorializing, but it’s been a rough day
