Can anyone recommend film schools?

OP, if you are FL residents then check out University of Central Florida in Orlando. Their admission stats are pretty competitive: mid 50% is 27 ACT/1960 SAT/3.7 - 4.0 GPA (recalculated). But kids with lower stats just aren’t admitted for fall semester - usually they come in summer or spring. So it’s possible to be admitted even if you aren’t the best student.

UCF has a pretty cool/up-and-coming film school located in the School of Visual Arts and Design. Blair Witch was a project created by UCF alums. They do have direct admit but I think you have to include a reel for that. You can also be admitted to the university as a pre-major then apply directly to film in sophomore/junior year. He’d take his pre-reqs and some Gen. Eds during the meantime. The advantage of UCF is that it’s a genuine university with a lot going on at SVAD and other schools.
