What MIT/CMU recruiting are you referring to?
If he is applying to schools that donât yet have it as a club or intramural sport, he can talk about starting it. Back in the day, my younger s was on his HS varsity ultimate frisbee team. He then started a team in college. Good luck!
MIT does not make âoffers,â and its commonly said that your odds with coach support is about 50/50. Pretty good for MIT, but far from the slam dunk you get with other schools. Coaches have been quoted saying they will not even entertain a call with someone who doesnât have a 770 M/720 EBRW score, and even then they really want that above the 1500 mark.
CMU is not so bluntly stated but the general sentiment is that coaches donât have much pull with admissions.
Have you been able to narrow down those premier schools with strong climbing teams?
