<p>Having a child at KP and a daughter who just went to Officers Candidate School and is now a 2nd Lt. in the Marines I will tell you that the Marines have tougher physical standards compared to admission to KP. But your brother can definitely get in shape. Perhaps there is a local Marine recruiting office where they help people get in shape. My daughter worked out with the recruiters for 3 months before she took her fitness exam in order to go to OCS at Quantico. At OCS they kicked it up several notches and many people didn’t get through primarily due to their level of fitness. If he wants this lifestyle, he must be self motivated.</p>
