Can "Fit" Be Quantified?

I’m not an idiot pulsar, I obviously did since I replied to many of them, which have nothing to do with the title of the thread. Wow…

Wow… .

Maybe the answer is that fit can be quantified exactly to the extent that the SSAT indicates one’s chance of getting into prep school; the quantifiable part–SSAT scores, matriculation, sports, etc–gets you into the pool (that is, in the case of fit–prompts you to ask for the viewbook or go on a visit), but beyond that, a myriad of entangled, less tangible factors come into play.

I don’t know if my points have already been made, and I am definitely not reading 5 pages just to check.
But no, I don’t believe whether a school is the right fit for you can be quantified. On paper, Exeter looks amazing, and when I was accepted, I was delirious - I did not even care for my other acceptance packets. But my revisit wasn’t satisfactory, and the fit (or lack thereof) was something that I felt in my gut, not through numbers. I’m thankful now for the other acceptances I received - if not for them, I would be going to a public high school.
