Can I apply ED to Brown and EA to other schools?

We ask that you not submit an application to another Early Decision plan, or a single-choice Early Action plan. If you are admitted under our Early Decision plan you will need to withdraw all pending applications—including those you may have already submitted to Regular, Rolling, or (open) Early Action programs.

So you can apply to any school the offer non-restrictive early action. Thus, applying to MIT is fine; applying to Harvard is not.</p>

<p>That said, some colleges (BC and Georgetown come to mind) do not allow you to apply EA if you are applying ED elsewhere. Best to check with the universities in question.</p>

<p>Of course, if you are lucky enough to be accepted to Brown ED, you would need to withdraw all outstanding applications.</p>
