<p>It depends on what you want to do. It’s impossible to do a double major in business and production in 4 years. It just doesn’t work out. Critical studies and business might work, but I don’t know how valuable the combination would be. The BCA program is great but it is a business degree with a film minor (except the classes you take from the film department are more geared to the business of film). </p>
<p>If you get into production, I wouldn’t trade it for a BCA degree if filmmaking is your ultimate goal, unless you are more interested in working at a studio or having an executive’s job (these jobs have very little to do with film making). If you get into production I would minor in business. The business minor has a great core, and covers a lot of what the BCA program covers on the business side and still lets you go through the production sequence. It’s a big minor though, so you have to look into it and see if it works for you.</p>
