Can I get in here?

Dear eagle69 : Legend? No. “Da man”? Not so much. Trying to lend my experience to the forum? Absolutely.

Earlier, you wrote the following.

My recommendation would be to apply Early Action for Boston College. Your state (Minnesota) should work to your advantage, your GPA is certainly in the Top 10% of most classes, and your ACT composite will be a homerun. (As a reference point, both of my attendees to Boston College scored 34 and 33 on the ACT.)

If you want to be a business major, apply to CSOM. Do not try to game the system thinking that one school is easier than another. As I have written many times based on the numbers from inside Boston College’s admissions process, the difference in acceptance rates between CSOM and CAS is miniscule and trying to predict that an application will fall into that small bracket is like flipping a coin and calling that it will land on its edge.

Finally, keep your foot on the academic accelerator throughout your remaining High School time. As we have mentioned previously, one would not expect an athlete to back-off on their training for six months and then head to a Division I NCAA tryout. You should think about BC Academics in the same way - stay on top of your AP work, take the exams with the intent of scoring 4 or 5 in order to provide yourself with options on the core course, and finish off your High School career with gusto.

Best wishes and good luck!
